We hear "Show, don't tell" a lot, but are we taking it to heart? Get ready to move in this fun two-hour workshop that focuses on being patient (quiet) at the top of your scene and eventually being patient (quiet!) throughout your scene. We'll use silence and music to make simple, fun, and funny scenes. By keeping your mouth shut and your ears and eyes open, you can find things in your scene you never knew were there.
Dave Theune is an actor/writer/improviser living in L.A .. You can see him at UCB with his improv team Bangarang! and with his sketch team Bonafide. He is one half of the sketch/improv group Mid best with Casey Feigh and one-fifth of his immediate family. Dave has performed at the L.A. lmprov Festival, the Del Close Marathon in NYC, the San Francisco Sketch Festival, and the Seattle Sketch Festival. On the big and less-big screen, Dave has appeared on FOX's Mulaney and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, USA's Playing House, HBO's Funny or Die, IFC's Comedy Bang! Bang!, Adu~ Swim's Newsreaders and NTSF:SD:SUV, NBC's Up All Night, ABC's Fresh Off the Boat a bunch of commercials, and a whole Iotta Funny or Die videos. Dave also teaches improv at UCB.
